Volunteering Activity Description:
In our department of Athens, every two weeks we have our social kitchen cooking. We gather on Wednesday mornings around 10:30 and start with the cooking. Around 15:00 we load up our van and go to Piraeus port for the distribution.
At a different time, we gather to prepare the “boxes of love” filling them with goods that every household needs.

Volunteer Duties:
In the social kitchen activity, volunteers are asked to help in the cooking. Processing the veggies, chopping, washing, peeling, as well as preparing the complementary bags offered with the cooked meal including bread, sweets, cutlery, and some napkins. When the meals are cooked, they are then served into containers to be distributed.
In the Boxes of Love activity, the process begins by setting the boxes, and then filling them in an organized way with the daily needed goods.
