Activity details
Volunteering Activity Description:
Volunteers at SolidarityNow will support activities in Solidarity Centers across Greece, assisting with legal aid, psychosocial support, employability services, and community engagement. Volunteers may also participate in educational initiatives, such as Greek and English language instruction and homework support for refugee children. Administrative tasks include managing program documentation and supporting office functions in Athens and Thessaloniki. This hands-on experience enables volunteers to make a significant impact on marginalized communities while gaining insights into humanitarian work and community-based support services.

Volunteer Duties:
-Assist with legal counseling, psychosocial support, and employability services at Solidarity Centers.
-Support the planning and execution of educational programs, including language classes and homework support for refugee children.
-Manage and update program-related documentation and databases in administrative offices.
-Participate in community engagement and awareness activities, including public events and campaigns.
-Draft and edit reports, minutes, and other program-related documents in English and Greek.

Qualifications the volunteer should posses:
For volunteers in the field: Experience and/or training in supporting & empowering vulnerable individuals/communities (but not limited to : psychosocial sciences, human resource management/employability, legal training).
For volunteers who support administrative tasks: Experience and/or training in advocacy, business administration or social policy.
